TASLY HAS THE BEST TREATMENT FOR CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE BASED ON MODERN TCM & ADVANCED BLOOD FLOW REASEARCH AT BEIJING UNIVERSITY: TASLY MICROCIRCULATION RESEARCH CENTRE

Blood is the life-maintaining fluid, pumped by the heart through all the arteries, veins and capillaries. This accounts for approximately 7% of total human body weight.

Red Blood Cells

Red blood cells (also called erythrocytes, say) look like flattened basketballs. Most of the cells in the blood are red blood cells. They carry around important chemical called hemoglobin that gives blood its red color.

Blood and breathing go hand in hand. How? The hemoglobin in blood delivers oxygen, which you get from the air you breathe, to all parts of your body. Without oxygen, your body couldn't keep working and stay alive.

White Blood Cells

White blood cells (also called leukocytes) are bigger than red blood cells. There are usually not a whole lot of white blood cells floating around in your blood when you're healthy. Once you get sick, though, your body makes some more to protect you.

Functions of blood:
Transportation:-
  • Oxygen from the lungs to the cells of the body and carbon dioxide from the cells to the lungs.
  • Nutrients from the gastrointestinal gland to body cells.
  • Hormones form the endocrine glands to other body cells.
  • Heat that regulates body temperature
  • Waste products away from the cells such as excess water
Regulate:-

  • Electrolyte balance (that is a substance containing free ions that behaves as an electrically conductive medium).
  • Helps to regulate pH
Protection:-

  • Certain blood cells protect against blood loss (clotting mechanism).
  • Leukocytes provide immunity against infection.

Blood Viscosity Blood viscosity is a measure of the resistance of blood to flow, which is being deformed by either shear external stress or,

Blood is a liquid consisting of plasma and particles, such as the red blood cells. The viscosity of blood thus depends on the viscosity of the plasma, in combination with the hematocrit.

The viscosity of normal blood is about three times as great as the viscosity of water. When the hematocrit rises to 60 or 70, which it often does in policythema, the blood viscosity can become as great as 10 times that of water, and its flow through blood vessels is greatly retarded because of increased resistance to flow. This will lead to decreased oxygen delivery.

Plasma viscosity is determined by water-content and macromolecular components, so these factors that affect blood viscosity are the plasma protein concentration and types of proteins in the plasma, but these effects are so much less than the effect of hematocrit that they are not significant, and elevation of plasma viscosity correlates to the progression of coronary and peripheral vascular diseases.

Anemia can lead to decrease blood viscosity, which may lead to heart failure.

Knowing the blood viscosity provides you with a critical tool in determining the efficiency and health of the circulatory system. With a clearer picture of your patient's circulatory efficiency, you can more accurately determine what type of goals and treatment programs your patient may need to minimize the risk of having a major cardiovascular event.

Blood viscosity testing monitors changes in the amount of solids present in blood plasma. This data provides a measure of the blood's inherent ability to flow.
Since the circulatory system is a closed system, the viscosity or thickness of what the heart is pumping can play a crucial role in determining the workload of the heart. An increase in blood viscosity will require the heart to work harder in order to provide the same level of perfusion to the tissues and organs of the body. An overworked heart is an inefficient heart – one that is more likely to become enlarged and ultimately fail.
Blood viscosity determines not only how hard the heart has to work to circulate the blood, but also the level of physical injury that the blood can cause to the inner walls of the arteries. Thick blood is abrasive and can trigger the inflammatory process that leads to atherosclerosis.

Atherosclerotic plaques do not form uniformly throughout the body. They are found in the large arteries that feed the heart and brain, which are close to the heart and absorb the abrasive injury caused by thick blood as it is punched out of the left ventricle. Plaques are also found in the arteries of the legs, where, because of the pull of gravity in a person standing upright, the blood is accelerated and increases the shear stress against the femoral arteries.

Elevated blood viscosity is the only parameter that explains why atherosclerotic stenosis occurs in certain regions of the body and not in others. Measuring your patient's blood viscosity enables you to determine the ability of your patient's blood to flow and the physical injury that the blood can inflict on the arterial walls. This can give you an additional level of insight in prescribing and monitoring a treatment regimen that optimizes circulatory health.
Using Tasly Micro Circulation Inspection Instrument:
Observation of the following is made:
Blood viscosity
Capillary structure,
Observation of white thrombus; these are dead white cells and pieces of suspended protein fibers, responsible for clots which block blood flow in the capillaries resulting in strokes and heart attacks.
Calcium plaques
Cholesterol blockages
Blood color:
Healthy young blood is bright red and dark red is for old viscous unhealthy blood ( associated with aging of liver resposible for replacement of old red cells).

Healing is quicker with bright red blood which flows more easily than dark red. Tasly cardiotonic pill remains the best choice for alternative health practioners for these health conditions: even in conventional medicine, a growing number of cardiologist have taken note of Tasly's cardiotonic pill.

As the blood thickens it exerts more pressure on the heart and this causes the left ventricle to grow big (a big heart). A big heart is the main cause of heart attacks.

The normal size of a human heart should be the size of your fist. Patients who have been treated with cardio tonic pill have had their microcirculation cured with the heart reverting to its healthy normal size.

How Do We Know Whether Your Microcirculation ( smallest cappillaries) Is Healthy:

By observation of your eyes; bright wet eyes is an indication of good healthy blood flow: This is what you observe in small babies.

Blood shot eyes is an indication of a problem with your microcirculation; observe the eyes of a smoker for that.

Tasly's Microcirculation Inspection Machine helps in diagnosis of problems in the microcirculation system or second heart; predicts heart diseases earlier before they reach diagnosis point and treat them.

The Dripping Pill, a Prevalent Dosage Form for Higher Bioavailability:

Innovation in herbal medicine can be found throughout the world these days, and there is no better example of manufacturing and dosage vicissitude than the dripping pill, manufactured by Tasly Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., one of the top five largest pharmaceutical companies in China.

The Dripping Pill is a rapidly developing form of Chinese herbal medicine, prepared by blending an herbal extract and a matrix under thermal conditions and dripping the mixture into a cooling liquid in which the droplets are insoluble. The process of pill formation results in a solid-dispersoid in a pill shape.

Characteristics of the Dosage Form:

Dripping pills are a promising dosage form. The process of formation is similar to that of preparing a solid dispersoid by melting. Melting herbal extract and matrix together make the botanical molecules disperse evenly throughout the matrix, and when congealed to from a eutectic solution, both herbal extract and the matrix molecules turn into very fine, tiny crystals. These crystals are easily absorbed with a higher bioavailability, rapid biological activity and lower adverse effects compared with conventional dosage forms such as, tablets and capsules. This helps promote stability of the herbal extract. Fine crystals of the herbal molecules are tightly embedded in the matrix, with no herbal powder or dust produced during manufacturing. Each single dose is exact and reproducible due to the even distribution of the herbal extract.

Why Dripping Pills Increase Bioavailability?

Formation of tiny, fine crystals: In the preparation of dripping pills, herbal extract and matrix are melted together to make a solution in which the herbal extract is distributed in molecular form within the matrix. When the solution cools down the solubility decreases and the molecules of the herbal extract are separated out.

Due to rapid cooling, the viscosity of the solution increases rapidly, the solution is solidified, and the botanical molecules separated out cannot conglomerate into large crystals. As a result, micro-crystals are formed. These micro-crystals have a rapidly-dissolvable property within body fluids and a better bioavailability. For example, when Griseofulvin (an antifungal drug) Dripping Pill with PEG 6000 in its matrix is examined under a microscope, it can be seen that crystals at a size between 2-3µ account for only 5.39%, while the remaining is composed of crystals under 2µ.

Dissolubility, solubility and surface activity of the matrix: In dripping pills, the poorly soluble microcrystals of the herbal extract are surrounded tightly by a water-soluble matrix. The matrix dissolves quickly in body fluids, and the herbal extract will form a homogeneous suspension of micro-crystals when agitated slightly, allowing the herbal extract to come in contact with the body fluid closely and increase the dissolution process.

Elimination of aggregation and agglomeration of herbal extract powder: When an herbal extract with low water-solubility in powder form is put into water, some small conglomerations floating on the water surface usually occur during the course of dissolution. They are difficult to disperse, even with strong stirring. In the case of dripping pills, the tiny, fine crystals of the herbal extract are embedded in the water-soluble matrix, and thus no aggregation or agglomeration will occur. The herbal extract will become wet and begin dissolving quickly as the surrounding matrix dissolves.

As you can see, it is an intense and rigorous manufacturing process to create such an innovative new form as the dripping pill. But, when the benefits and effectiveness are so high, it seems essential to have access to such a dosage form. Honso is proud to be working with Tasly, who believes in the task of finding the most effective ways to help patients with herbal medicine, and bringing these products to the forefront of our industry worldwide.
